Home / Florida contracting

Find your starting point in Florida government contracting.

Use official sources to find notices. Use a practical review to decide whether the work fits your business.

Official starting points

Sources reviewed September 18, 2026. An agency’s current solicitation, addenda and official instructions control.

Start close to your operating area.

For Central Florida businesses, start by listing the cities, counties, school districts, airports, utilities and public facilities you can realistically serve. Visit each buyer’s official website and look for purchasing, procurement or vendor registration. Different buyers may use different systems; one registration is not a universal pass.

Service area

List travel time, emergency-response limits, pickup locations and staffing coverage. A distant low-value job may be a poor fit even when you can technically reach it.

Capability

Separate work you can perform today from work that depends on new crews, licenses, equipment or another subcontractor.

Bid effort

Check mandatory visits, question deadlines, addenda and submission requirements before investing in pricing.
