Government Cleaning Contracts in Florida

A cleaning opportunity is more than a square-footage number. Start by translating the scope into real staffing hours, supplies, supervision and travel.

Read the actual cleaning schedule.

Identify each building, cleanable area, room type and task frequency. Separate daily cleaning from periodic floor work, window work, event coverage and consumable restocking. Check whether day porters and after-hours crews are distinct requirements.

Check whether your experience fits.

Describe your residential, commercial and institutional experience accurately. Do not relabel residential references as large commercial contracts. When a solicitation requires particular references, compare the exact requirement with what you can document.

Price the hours you must deliver.

Build a schedule by building and shift. Include supervision, relief coverage, travel between facilities, supplies, equipment maintenance, payroll burden and any stated wage requirements. Test whether the price still works when an employee calls out.

Ask before assuming.

Where permitted, ask about usable square footage, floor surfaces, restroom traffic, available storage, consumables, security access, inspections and the treatment of additional work. Record the official response or addendum, not an informal assumption.

Where to look next

Use the Florida contracting resource hub to reach official sources, then read the complete solicitation. This is a preparation checklist, not a claim that a particular solicitation is currently open.
